Alumni Spotlight – Anka Mischel

Alumni Spotlight!

“I attended the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music and have been teaching music in the Tucson area ever since. In today’s ever changing environment with K-12 music education, I found myself teaching more than only high school choir. The professors at the Fred Fox School of Music fully prepared me for each and every challenge I would face. Their high expectations and support gave me an incredible experience as a performer and as an educator. The student teachers I’ve mentored over the years have been high quality music teachers who have outstanding support from the University of Arizona’s music professors. My daughter hopes to attend the Fred Fox School of Music for music education, where I know she too will have the best music education and performance experiences as I had the privilege of having. I had several choices when choosing where I would attend college. The University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music was my top choice. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.”
