Arizona Arts announces cancellations due to Coronavirus

In the interest of the health and welfare of our students, faculty, staff, patrons, and performers, Arizona Arts is canceling all performances, exhibitions, and events through the end of the Spring 2020 semester.

This decision is in line with public health guidelines regarding COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus), as well as appropriate procedures determined by the University of Arizona. We also feel that this is the best course of action for our community.

Arizona Arts plays an essential role in bringing community members together, but at this time and under these challenging circumstances, the potential risk is too great.

Our box offices are currently working to process refunds for canceled performances. Ticket holders for these performances will be notified directly and refunds will be provided. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact our box office team at 520-621-3341.

While itโ€™s disappointing to cancel these upcoming events, we look forward to coming together again as a community when the time is right.

The University of Arizona has established a dedicated website that provides updates and resources. We encourage you to refer to that site for ongoing information.

More information can be found on the individual websites within Arizona Arts:

Presented by Podium Pictures, in association with CBS Sports, this definitive documentary by Emmy Award-winning Director Brett Rapkin celebrates the legendary Coach Lute Olson on the 25th Anniversary of the 1997 National Championship.

โ€œNot long after I showed up in Tucson as a 17-year-old freshman, I got to witness Lute lead the 1997 Cats to the promised land: a National Championship,โ€ said Rapkin, who studied film at TFTV. โ€œIt is truly an honor to have the chance to help tell this story.โ€

โ€œIโ€™m thrilled to be a member of the team making a film celebrating Coach Oโ€™s life and legacy,โ€ said Jason Terry, executive producer and member of the 1997 championship team. โ€œThis is also a special opportunity to allow the coaches, fans, players and families that he inspired along the way to tell their own stories.โ€
