Arlene Islas, CFA School of Art alumna, has won the NATIONAL Edward R. Murrow Award for Feature Reporting for her work on the AZPM story, "Where Dreams Die."

The piece features local artist Alvaro Enciso's efforts to honor the lives of migrants who have died in the Sonoran Desert.
Islas, videographer on the piece, earned a BFA at the University of Arizona in photography in 2015. Arizona School of Journalism graduate Sandra Westdahl was the producer/editor.

The New York Times recently reviewed UA School of Art Professor David Taylor and Marcos Ramírez ERRE’s exhibition, DeLIMITations, examining the transitory nature of borders.
The duo placed 47 obelisks along the original 2,400-mile 1821 U.S.-Mexico border, including this one near Leadville, Colorado.
