Daniela Diamente likes to inspire movement, confidence, and leadership in others. She has a Masters in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Arizona with a focus on youth development and education. Here in the School of Dance, she is a Certified Fletcher Pilates Instructor who teaches Mat Pilates for non-majors. Over the past 20 years in Tucson, she helped to build up the education program at BICAS (a bicycle recycling center) and launch Cyclovia Tucson for its first two inaugural events. She co-founded El Grupo (with a mission to empower youth through bicycles) with her husband Ignacio. She stepped down after 15 years as the Executive Director in 2019 and completed a yearlong bicycle trip with him and their 10-year-old son at that time. Presently, she is the business owner and co-director of Tucson CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) and the Executive Director of Beyond, a non-profit that offers free health programs and education. She loves to ride bikes, hike, teach and do Pilates, and move every way you can. Favorite mantra: how you do anything is how you do everything.

Big News! The Pride of Arizona is the 2024-2026 recipient of the prestigious Sudler Trophy. This award is given to a university marching band “that has demonstrated the highest musical standards and innovative marching routines and ideas.” A very deserving title for one of the best collegiate marching bands in the country, according to the John Philip Sousa Foundation.

The Pride is currently in its final push to raise money for new uniforms. To help us meet the ambitious goal of $200,000, the Marshall Foundation has committed $100,000 ... if we raise the additional $100,000.

Congrats to the Pride. Support the Pride.
