For over four decades, the University of Arizona Museum of Art has been accredited by the American Alliance of Museum (AAM), the highest national recognition afforded the nation’s museums. Less than four percent of all museums in the United States are accredited, an accomplishment of the highest quality educational programming, exhibitions, and collections. Each year UAMA welcomes students and faculty from dozens of different college courses and academic units, ranging from astronomy to architecture, to study exhibition themes, explore the museum’s collection and access UAMA’s Archive of Visual Arts.
