Deaf Awareness Month (September) is a time to recognize the unique culture and languages of the Deaf community. Tucson Deaf Awareness Week is hosting various event during the week of September 23rd – 29th.
Monday, Sept 23
- ASL film, 3:30 – 7 PM; Free Admission at Berger Performance Art Center, 1200 West Speedway
- Pickleball and Signing: A rally in ASL by University of Arizona, 7:00 PM at Udall Park
Wednesday, Sept 25
- Tucson CODA’S Skate Night, 6 – 8 PM at Skate Country; $6 admission & $5 Skate Rental
Thursday, Sept 26
- Deaf Experience Panel, 1:30 – 3:30 PM; in-person at PCC West Campus Cafeteria & Zoom
- Special Deaf Awareness Night, 5:00 – 9:00 pm at Trail Dust Town
Friday, Sept 27
- Deaf Mentor Program Paint Night, 3 – 5 PM at ASDB Cafeteria, 1200 West Speedway
- Justin Perez Performance, 7 – 8 PM at Berger Performance Art Center, ASDB
Saturday, Sept 28
- TDAW closing ceremony, 10:00 am – 4:30 pm at ASDB, 1200 West Speedway
- ACE’s & LCR Card Games, 5:00 pm at Tucson Deaf Community Center, 1436 N 11th Ave
