In collaboration with the Black Faculty Speaker Series, School of Dance, School of Film and Television, Arizona Arts Live, College of Humanities, Africana Studies, and MLK Dream Center welcomes a panel discussion, “Preserving the Legacy of Black Storytelling Through Art” on Friday, February 6, 6:00 pm at Marroney Hall.
The program begins with a screening of Damon Davis’s Radio Opera, “Ligia Mare,” which opened at Carnegie Hall to a sold-out crowd, followed by two performance poetry pieces. The program ends with a dance performance by The University of Arizona’s Traveling Dance Ensemble, directed by Duane Cyrus.
