Join JustArts fellow Chris Werner for Big Gay Music, a celebratory concert of bassoon music by queer composers featuring local Tucson composers Jared Aragon and Beck Turro premiering new works for the bassoon, performed by Chris Werner, bassoon with piano accompaniment.
This event is part of Werner’s JustArts project, Queer Bassoon Music and the Queer Bassoon Coalition, which seeks to amplify LGBTQIA2S+ voices in Western art music through oral histories, collaboration, and the commissioning of new compositions for the bassoon.
