We are excited to share that Mapping Q is back! Thanks to the generous and continued support from the LGBTQ+ Alliance Fund held at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, we are returning with a full season of workshops. Starting September 5th, we will be offering art workshops in the LGBTQ+ Student Space at the U of A every other week. Each session we will provide free art materials and workshops that center community, well-being and belonging.
This year I am excited to share that we are able to expand our reach as we collaborate with undergrad students in Art and Visual Culture Education! Mapping Q will be an embedded component of an undergrad course as the students learn how to engage with the community and development of relevant programs.
