Imagining Climate Futures is a creative, arts-based research study involving storytelling practices and narrative performance. Participation in this project is open to anyone above the age of 18 from within the University of Arizona community and the Tucson community.
Participate in a paid research study consisting of three phases, 12 hours over the course of seven weeks:
Phase 1 | Story Circles: three storytelling gatherings in which you will be asked to share personal stories based on co-determined themes related to climate change and environmental justice.
Phase 2 | Creative Storytelling Workshops: two fiction-writing workshops in which we will collaboratively craft short works of climate fiction based in part on personal narratives shared in story circles.
Phase 3 | Narrative Performance: one rehearsal/planning meeting and one public performance consisting of a live reading of co-created stories.
This is a JustArts Fellowship sponsored project as well as a research study in Applied Intercultural Arts Research.
