Danielle Jones

Danielle Jones is a mixed-media visual artist from Southern Louisiana. Influenced by the parallels between rising waters and emotions, Jones' installations and intricate works made of paper respond to the alternation of disaster and repair while celebrating the often-overlooked lurking residuals of destruction.

While working toward her MFA, Jones received two Medici Scholar project grants, a Helen Gross award and the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant award. Jones is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona School of Art, teaching Foundations Sculpture, Drawing and Painting.
