National Caribbean American Heritage Month & National Immigrant Heritage Month
Jun. 1 – 30, 2026
June marks both National Caribbean American Heritage Month and National Immigrant Heritage Month. Since 2006, National Caribbean American Heritage Month has honored the rich culture, history, and contributions of Caribbean Americans to the nation’s development. National Immigrant Heritage Month, observed since 2014, encourages individuals to reflect on their own heritage while learning about the myriad immigrant roots that shape America’s unique story. Throughout the month, we come together to share stories and celebrate the ways immigrants enrich our communities and society.

On June 19, 2026, join the Tucson community at the Juneteenth Festival at Kino Sports Complex — a powerful celebration of African American culture, history, and heritage bringing together people of all backgrounds through music, storytelling, cultural exhibits, and community. The festival’s mission to preserve and pass forward the legacy of Juneteenth for future generations reflects a shared value at the heart of Arizona Arts — that culture, memory, and creative expression are essential to who we are and who we are becoming.
