The College of Fine Arts at The University of Arizona consists of four professional schools: the School of Art, School of Dance, Fred Fox School of Music, and the School of Theatre, Film and Television. Accomplished faculty, staff and alumni contribute to the College’s world-class reputation and to Tucson’s popular identity as ‘The City of Arts.’ The faculty itself is driven through their own artistic practices to inspire students and push them to their full potential.
The College is committed to the advancement of our knowledge, talent and skills as artists. Our goal is to explore the ‘cutting edge’ of new art forms and technologies through our strong foundations, innovation and traditional studies. Our conservatory-style training combined with a dedication to academics prepares our students from all schools for a successful career in the arts.
Therefore the College of Fine Arts desires to recruit students who are diverse in background, interests, academic and artistic talents. The College seeks to enroll students who have achieved academic success, have demonstrated personal growth, possess professional motivation, and present evidence of a strong preparation for study in the fine arts.
Candidates who meet the College’s standards should make significant contributions to the academic, artistic, and student programs both in the College of Fine Arts and the University of Arizona.
